PROCEDURE FOR PREHEATING To remove any moisture from fresh crucibles, heat them slowly and gently to 390 °F after a lengthy cooling period. Then, heat them on low power to 600 °C or until they are red-hot. SAFTEY When pouring molten metal, the proper attire and tools must be used for safety reasons. Any moisture left in the melting cup must be removed with furnace flow before use. Make sure that neither moisture nor volatile substances are present near the melt. The heated crucible should only be used for its intended purpose and should never be set down on a cold surface. WIDE APPLICATION
