If you're going to spend hundreds of dollars on poker chips you really should purchase sample sets before buying the entire set. These Milanos are a perfect example of why. Milanos are what are commonly referred to as "china clays". They are made in china to mimic the poker chips that the Bellagio in Las Vegas originally used. Because they're clay chips they're the closest thing in feel to a real Paulson clay poker chip that you can find without buying actual paulson chips (e.g from casino chips for casinos that have shutdown or changed names). The massive downside of the Milano chips, and china clays in general, is that they have a slight burnt plastic smell to them. The other issue is that the "inlays" aren't actually inlays, they're stickers, so they do sometimes come off and you might have to glue them back on. However, the good things about the milano's besides the feel is that they're generally sold at around $0.30 a chip, are widely available in every denomination all the time, have roughly the same weight as a casino chip, the colors are traditional and distinguishable for color blind people, and the denominations are in a large font for older people. That said, you do really need to buy a sample set, let the set sit out for a week or so, and then see if the smell of the milano's bothers you. I can't really smell my set unless I hold a chip up to my nose, but others with better smell might find them too smelly so it is really important that you buy the sample set before purchasing a larger set.
