I recently started with metal clay, and since torching made my pieces into lumps of silver, I looked at kilns. This one looked nice and simple, and the price was do-able, so I pulled the trigger. The instructions do say to heat it up once at first to get any manufacturing stuff off of it, and it did put out some flames - good thing I had it on a patio. Once whatever the stuff was that needed to burn off did, it was fine and I was able to get some pieces fired. It’s simple to use - just ramp it up according to your clay instructions (for example, set it to a temp and then once that’s achieved step it up again). I’ve fired several times and it worked fine each time. I’m hoping to try a little glass fusing also. Nice little kiln.I was skeptical this would work based on others reviews. I received my kiln and proceeded to go through the first firing process. about half way through I got the dreaded "EEEEE". I tried again another day and didn't even get half the temp and got the EEEEE's. I got into contact with the manufacturer and through their great support I learned the kiln will not work in ambient temps below freezing. I finally got a day above freezing and tried again. It worked flawlessly. The does come with warranties, I believe electronics is 3 Month and all other parts is 1 year. Definitely very pleased to date and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small kiln.Just got this in the mail and so far not too impressed - directions are abysmal - not much help at their company website either - they have a so-called beginners guide which is nothing more than overview with absolutely no details on how to use the controller. We just did the first use pre-fire and had to figure out how to use the buttons ourselves because no detail was provided in the so called users guide. Does not appear to have any automatic pre-set automation for specific materials you want to fire. Other units I’ve seen in You tube videos have gobs of presets including a drying function and special presets for various metal clays, glass etc. the unit does not seem to seal very tightly and when door is latched it seems to have a gap on one side. I’ll update after I’ve tried it on a project. For the price, I would have expected a lot more.Update: OK - it’s working pretty well for my silver and bronze metal clay projects except that you need to let the temps settle out before putting your green ware In because it shoots right past the set temperature by as much as 50 degrees F before settling back down. I overheated a project and it was destroyed. So I sit by the kiln and manually bring up the temp more slowly especially as you get close to target temp.I can't believe how much I've been able to do with it! I will say the kiln space itself isn't as big as it says it's about a 5 inch smaller but overall 10/10 for its size.I got this to melt silver and gold. It works well. Get up to temp and holds well.Biggest piece of crap ever!! They put a cheap power supply cable which caused me to get a slight shocked each time I used the kiln. The kiln would never rise to the desired temp without giving me an error message which I needed to disconnect and reconnect the kiln and open it to let the heat out to allow the thermostat to stop giving me an error message. I never brought the kiln higher than 1350F. BecAuse I couldn't afford a new kiln I needed to deal with these headaches which ruining my castings. Better off not risking it and losing your money and getting a paragon kiln for $1000.Seems to be an excellent product, I have used two or three times; experimentally, no problems here. Thanks, Curt. The oven is not condition good
