I bought this item with a little trepidation, simply because it seemed to cheap for what they were offering. This item is legitimate spring steel and all of the fittings are tight. The scabbard is well made and the blade "clicks" into place tightly as it should, though this has loosened a bit because I draw it often. The edge is cutting sharp right out of the packaging. I would also like to warn that cutting with this may give one the illusion that they are really good at cutting, so make sure you have a straight blade with you when you practice so you can switch between them and stay humble.My first experience with Shengsword went exceptionally well. The delivery came about a week earlier than the expected delivery date. I did pay for the available express service offered. I will surely do that on my next order as well. The sword has a finish like a mirror. It was very sharp and has absolutely no loose parts or any rattling. So I am completely satisfied. Thanks Shengsword!!Flawless blade with beautiful real Hamon. I paid $479 CAD for it, and I definitely got my money worth.Now I haven’t cut anything besides paper with it, so I can’t comment on how it would hold up to heavy abuse, but it feels solid in the hands. It’s razor sharp except for the bottom 3 inches of the blade, which is fine.The katana, 5 stars, but the reason I only rated 4 overall stars is because the scabbard is fairly loose. This can be solved with simple shims, but it would have been nice if it was a tighter fit.If I hold the katana by the handle, and turn the entire thing upside down, the scabbard slides off the blade.Thank you for my new Katana, all smiles over here.
