I invested quite a bit in making sure I have clean water and distill water daily for drinking and cooking use and highly recommend getting an unglazed terra cotta pitcher or vessel of some sort as the finishing touch to complete a healthy clean water drinking experience. I had been pouring distilled water into glass or metal pitchers (avoiding plastic as much as possible) and though my water was clean it took on the taste of whatever pitcher I put it in. Terra cotta has natural detoxifying properties and though there are no toxins to pull from distilled water it does “soften” the flavor and gives the water a more neutral natural flavor than the metallic flavor I was getting from glass/metal containers.The flavor improvement is the best reason to get an unglazed terra cotta pitcher but it also naturally cools the water so it doesn’t take up space in my refrigerator (don’t refrigerate pitcher) and it’s attractive as well (I am probably going to try stenciling a design onto it). If you drink filtered/distilled water do yourself a favor and ditch the plastic bottles/metal thermos’ and get terra cotta, the improvement in flavor is night and day noticeable!I love my new water pitcher. It makes water taste better, almost sweeter. It came wrapped in layers of bubble wrap as it is very fragile. The only drawback is you have to be aware of its porous nature. The bottom will sweat a little when you leave it on the counter. I put a small silicone bowl cover on the bottom to prevent a mess or you can set it on a saucer. The 3 liter is perfect for all day drinking for one person at least.I’m not recovering the items
